Left Foot Teleportation
Full name: The Boot(s) of Teleportation (But Only Left Foot)
(2014 version used, since no 2024 version available)
Powers
1/day:
The left boot teleports the wearer 1d100+20 feet in a random direction (roll 1d8 for cardinal direction).
Not straight up or down, user will not teleport into a wall but may be on a second story or in a basement.
The location is usually embarrassing, a bath house for women only, a dung heap, a forbidden harem, in front of a out of control wagon, a secret cult meeting. Sometimes worse than when the user started from. It's up to the DM and how evil they feel.
The right boot stays put and then follows 1d6 rounds later. The wearer usually arrives barefoot and embarrassed. With an oddly wet sock.
If lost the other boot always appears by the next dawn, usually when no one is looking.
Lore
Created by Gnome Wizzbang Fizzlewhistle to “solve stairs.” Now cursed/beloved by couriers.
Drawback
After 3 uses, the boots swap feet (right boot teleports, left doesn’t). Then after 3 more uses it switches back.
